Written by:  Maddison Kurniawan

Childhood is the foundation of every fundamental human behavior—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. It institutes the preliminaries of everlasting well-being, and without a solid foundation during this critical phase, futures can become rigorous and complicated. It is said to be the best phase of life, guarded with innocence and freedom, where children get to enjoy the little pleasures of existence. Yet, people seem to be blinded by why it is the ‘best.’ What about it is so special that people should emphasize its significance? This text will discuss and highlight the importance of childhood psychology.

Childhood psychology is the study of childhood development as they grow and mature into adulthood. It is a crucial time when advice is made extremely valuable, and it principally leads to the main development of the child. For example, teaching kids basic manners at an early age. These respectful etiquettes will follow them for an exceedingly long time as they are used to doing it more. Parents play a role in childhood psychology since they maneuver complications away from the youthful minds of children.

Creating a nurturing environment helps foster better mental health. When they feel loved and guided, they will not mislead themselves into doing heinous things, ensuring a better and healthier future. Some parents may also get the opportunity to see if there are any concerns they have to address, which include learning disabilities or attention difficulties. Parents can support their children through different aspects so that they can use it as a motivation to boost their overall character.

Ensuring a good childhood psychology promotes academic success and learning stability. They have something to look forward to and enjoy, propelling like a bicycle that keeps them moving further towards better progress. Parents, people in the closest circle, are the chief figures in making sure that their children can achieve a solid psychology.

Childhood psychology is part of what makes life pleasing, considering childhood is the base of the subsequent stages of life. Thus, there is still an abundant amount of time to ameliorate, fix, and heal. Without proper attention to this crucial phase, children will grow up without any self-worth or appreciation, and they will still struggle to love themselves. Childhood psychology is the light that scares away any fear that seeps into the shadows.
